Tragic Secrets
Part 4

Later that day, Yukito Tsukishiro finally felt he had sorted out his emotions enough to face his patient again. He had lain awake half the night wondering why he felt giddy and scared all at the same time, then convinced himself it was jet lag. Of course, he didn't really believe that, but it was better than setting himself up for heartache. Or, at least he *thought* it was better. He thought wrong.

Yukito checked with Akheem about the amount of medication Duo had received during the night and morning and found his instructions had been followed to the letter. After assuring himself Duo was awake enough to talk, he went in to see his patient.

"Good afternoon, Duo, how are you feeling?" he asked keeping a pleasant but neutral tone to his voice.

Duo, his eyes somewhat unfocused from the powerful drugs in his system looked at him for a few seconds before recognizing him. "Oh, hey, Yukito. How's tricks?" He asked offhandedly.

"Um, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean," he answered, immediately fearing Duo had come to the conclusion that Yukito had somehow tricked him into the actions of the previous night.

"Oh, sorry. That's just an old L2 saying. It means 'How are you?'" Duo seemed to be trying very hard to focus then added, "Any chance you could get them to let me have some coffee? They told me you had to approve it for reasons that made no sense and I'm dying for a cup."

"Oh, certainly! They were obviously concerned about the possibility of caffeine interfering with your other medications. There's no cross-reactivity to worry over. I'll let them know." Yukito smiled and requested two cups be sent to Duo's room. "Want anything to eat with that, Duo?" he added hopefully. If they could get him eating again it would help immensely.

Duo looked a little befuddled then suggested, "They got any donuts or cinnamon rolls? Now that you mention it, something to eat sounds good, but nothing too heavy, okay?" The request modified, the two men tried to get back to their discussions.

Unfortunately, even after coffee and two pastries, Duo was still pretty out of it and things weren't progressing. Since another dose of anti-depressants and tranquilizers was administered as their session came to a close, Yukito decided to take a risk. "Duo, why did you kiss me yesterday?"

"Hmm? Oh, I did?" Duo was falling under the drugs rapidly and he said a few things he probably shouldn't have. "Well, doc, it seemed like the thing to do at the time, but Hell if I remember why it felt that way."

"Um, Duo, it's 'Yukito', remember? I need to know because I'm concerned it may effect your recovery if you start transferring your feelings for your fiancé onto someone else. If not me," he swallowed wishing it *would* be him, but denying it at the same time. "Then you might do the same with someone else."

"Huh? You saying I'm a bad kisser or something?" Duo was quite out of touch with reality, but Yukito was failing to take that into account. Big mistake there.

"No, of course not! Why would I insult you?" Yukito had really gotten himself in over his head, something someone who had never been in love before was apt to do when confronted with someone as attractive as Duo.

Duo, lost in his own private galaxy, rambled on. "Actually, I don't know if I'm a good kisser or not, come to think of it. Heero never had much patience for that part of things, he just wanted to go straight to the sex and to Hell with the niceties!" Yukito blushed but Duo never noticed; Yukito was suddenly acutely aware of his own lack of sexual experience to judge such things by.

"Come to think of it, kissing you was pretty nice, I think I'll do it again!" With that, hands that were trained for rapid movement as a warrior reached out and grabbed Yukito by the neck pulling the hapless psychiatrist into a deep, passionate kiss that literally took his breath away.

"There." Duo looked smug then unsure. "How was that?"

Yukito, totally as gone mentally as his patient, lost any semblance of control and practically attacked the boy pushing him against the pillows roughly and kissing him as best he could as inexperienced as he was. Hormones or some other bodily chemical would have been blamed ordinarily, but the man was flat out head-over-heels in love with the violet-eyed angel and he just couldn't help himself anymore. Then again, he didn't *want* to help himself either!

He felt his body reacting in new ways he understood clinically, but had never experienced as his tongue cautiously probed Duo's tender mouth. Eyes slipping shut, the young psychiatrist gave in to his desires and ran his hands across Duo's chest, caressing him through the thin fabric and delighting in the response as he felt nipples harden beneath his fingers. Duo's return kiss became more insistent and then, to Yukito's shock, a hand reached up the doctor's thigh for a very intimate and insistent touch, caressing the man's groin firmly.

Throwing any remaining concern to the wind, which really isn't saying much, the young doctor avidly returned the gesture, fondling the boy through the thin dressing gown. Finally, Yukito found the courage to actually reach beneath the gown in search of something more, desperate in his lust. He wrapped a hand around the young man's waist, then let it slip down further hoping to discover if there was a chance of taking this even farther. He was immensely pleased to find his hand wrapping easily around the boy's erection, he automatically began pumping the warmth in his hand as he resumed the deep intimate kissing. It all felt so good to the young doctor, so very, very right somehow. But it wasn't right at all.

At that precise moment, three things happened which turned the entire situation upside down. First, Duo, rock hard and wanting, moaned loudly, "Oh, Heero, I've missed you!" shocking the doctor. Second, realization hit Yukito just what he was doing and how utterly wrong it was. Third, and worst of all, Quatre Raberba Winner walked into the room.

"What the *fuck* do you think you are *doing*?!?" The Arab screamed, reaching for a weapon he hadn't carried in ages.

Tsukishiro, caught completely by surprise by his own actions as well as by being observed doing them, froze like a rabbit in the glare of headlights, his hand still guiltily in place stroking Duo's shaft and the two kissing. As the doctor quickly tried to recover his lost dignity as well as his wits, Duo had the audacity to loudly scream Heero's name and climaxed violently on both himself and the psychiatrist, making a bad situation worse. The only thing that saved the psychiatrist from dying right that moment at Quatre's own hands was Duo's heavy breathing as he murmured, "Ai shiteru, Heero. Dear God, how I love you, too!" The very contented voice then dropping off into soft snores.

"My office. Now!" Commanded Quatre, turning away in disgust.

Yukito Tsukishiro, sadly realizing he had just committed the biggest mistake of his life, gently kissed the sleeping boy a last time and whispered, "Forgive me." Then left the room after some judicious cleaning up.

Quatre had paged Trowa for back-up before he did go ahead and kill the shrink for his unacceptable behavior. This was wise since the young blond was in such great pain that every little thing seemed to get blown out of proportion anymore. Granted, he couldn't see how the doctor's action could possibly be justified in any way, shape, or form, but he knew he was too overwrought at what he'd witnessed to handle it well.

Trowa, however, handled it even more poorly.

When the doctor entered the office, Trowa slammed the door, making Quatre's head pound even worse, but he was furious. "How *dare* you take advantage of someone like that?!" The usually quiet teen yelled. "From what Quatre told me you were about to *rape* Duo! Frankly, I'd rather kill you now and spare any other poor victims you may leave behind, but I'll give you a chance to explain for Quatre's sake if nothing else. He sure as Hell doesn't need a murder investigation of his fiancé here in his own home on top of everything else! So? What do you have to say for yourself?"

Sighing, the psychiatrist could envision his entire career going up in flames due to a moment of lust. "In all honesty, Mr. Barton, I deserve your disdain, but that was not my intention. I'm afraid I, well, I fell in love with Mr. Maxwell."

"'Love'?!?" Trowa was on a rampage and not about to back off. "You were hired to help him get his mental health back and refocus on his love for the man whose name he spoke mistaking you for him when you sexually assaulted him!" Trowa was seething in anger and ignored Quatre's silent pleas to be a little quieter for the sake of his aching head.

"You are quite right, sir. I deserve everything you accuse me of and I fully intend on seeking assistance in sorting out my own confusion over these matters. Obviously, I will not return to my medical practice with this stain on my conscience, it wouldn't be right." He looked so contrite that Quatre took pity on him and intervened.

"Wait a minute," shaking his head, Quatre stalled trying to decide which question to ask first. "What did you mean when you said you 'loved' Duo?"

"Well," Yukito blushed deeply, "I never fell in love before and last night when he cried in my arms I felt something strange within me. Then, when he kissed me unexpectedly, it confused me entirely. I finally figured out I'd fallen in love for the first time and I, well, obviously got carried away." Now less red, the man sighed deeply and finished by saying, "I'm clearly unfit for my profession if I can't even control myself."

Quatre had heard enough and just wanted this over with. "Fine. You are hereby dismissed from my employ. You are to leave this residence within the hour and no charges will be pressed against you. Any further attempts on your part to contact Duo Maxwell will be assumed to be sexual harassment and I will see that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Regarding your career, I don't give a damn what you do, just be off my property and leave all of us alone and that will be the end of it. Now get out before I change my mind and follow my previous idea to just kill you right here and now."

Both Trowa and Yukito looked surprised by the vehemence in Quatre's voice and the psychiatrist hurried out of the room intending to make as great a distance between himself and these men as quickly as possible.
