Heero had learned that practicality was not the
primary objective when selecting a Christmas gift for
Duo. If gifts Duo liked had any practical uses at
all, they were completely coincindental.
This gift had no practical qualities what so ever. In
most ways, it would actually complicate Duo's life.
However, it was something Heero knew he wanted and
might not get for himself - two reliable guidelines
when gift-buying for Duo Maxwell.
If it did have any use at all, it would be to serve as
an excuse for Heero to visit Duo. It would be natural
for him to want to see Duo's new puppy every now and
then, since he had picked it out and given it to him.
