Relena was beaming. Finally, something was working right for her.
The young technician proudly motioned toward the device set up near the Queen's computer. "Now, this is our latest and most advanced tracking device. With this, you should be able to track anyone one down."
"What about very sophisticated jamming and rerouting of signals? Will this track something like that?" Relena asked.
The proud tech nodded. "Yes, your Majesty. This should track anything with enough time."
Relena grinned. "Thank you." Then she turned to Dorothy who sat passively watching the whole ordeal with hidden disgust. "This should do the trick! Once I know where he has been going for the last several years, he won't be able to hide from me anymore."
Dorothy watched the technician leave, then her cool eyes shifted back to Relena. Then she stood and lovingly caressed the tracking device. Not bothering to hide the sarcasm in her voice, Dorothy stated the most obvious aspect of the situation. "So this is the machine that will solve your years of marriage problems?"
"You will not ruin this for me with your twisted logic, Dorothy. I have got to try this machine and see where Heero has been going all this time."

Heero scowled as he tried to pull a brush through Duo's wet mass of hair. "How did it get this bad?" Sitting behind Duo, Heero tried to figure out the best way to get the remove the tangles without rendering Duo bald.
Duo picked up a chocolate croissant from the large platter in front of him. "Well Heero, what did you expect after two nights and a day of full-blown honeymooning?" He took a bite out of his pastry. "My hair should be a mess! If it wasn't, then we weren't doing it right."
"Hn." Heero worked diligently on getting the knots out of his love's hair.
Duo smirked. "We should be proud of ourselves. We went through three sets of bed sheets; two of which are not salvageable. We should screw in the tub more often, it could save us a fortune on bed sheets." Duo was content to stay on their bed all day and let Heero brush his hair, but they both had a life to attend to. "So, Heero, when do we have to go back?"
"Tomorrow."
"Shit! I wish we had a few more days of honeymoon."
A slight smile crept upon Heero's lips. "Me too."
Just then, the laptop beeped. As much as he wanted to avoid it, Heero knew that he had to pick it up. He had already been avoiding his responsibilities for too long. It was easy to forget anything else when you were making love to Duo.
He pushed the connect button and immediately regretted picking up the line when he saw Relena's smiling face on his monitor. "Hello, Heero."
Out of the corner of his eye, Heero saw Duo flinch at the sound of the familiar voice.
"What?" he asked tersely.
"Heero, why do you always say "what"? Why can't you be civil?"
A warning light began flashing at the bottom of his screen; he knew immediately that the call was be traced or manipulated in some way. He pushed the disconnect button with amazing perfect soldier speed.
Heero's sudden movement caught Duo's attention. "What was that about?"
"She traced the call."
Duo's beautiful face turned ashen as he realized that their home might well have just been compromised. "No way!! How?"
"Not sure."
"Are you sure that she succeeded?"
"No."
Duo quickly plaited his hair. "What are we going to do?"
Heero was too lost in thought to answer Duo's question. But a thought quickly occurred to Duo. "Oh, Heero. I have a great idea!"
When Heero looked up at Duo, the braided man had an absolutely wicked grin on his face. It was at that moment that Heero realized that Relena didn't stand a chance.

"Nothing!" Relena hissed. "We were cut off!"
"Maybe he knew what you were trying to trace him." Dorothy said. "He is rather intelligent and very skilled."
"Are you trying to be sarcastic? I'll wait a while and try again."
Much later, Relena was finally able to get a signal from Heero's laptop.
"What?" The familiar voice sounded over the line.
Pleased with herself, Relena made certain that Heero would remain on line by discussing security arrangements for the Peace Celebrations with him. She knew that Heero felt a strong sense of responsibility for such things. With each passing moment, her smile got bigger. The tracing was complete. She thanked Heero and disconnected the line.
Dorothy waited as Relena retrieved the information from the device. "So, where is he?"
Relena frowned as she looked over the results again. "In the palace. This thing says that he is here! In the palace."
Dorothy secretly smiled. She knew that Heero had just pulled a fast one. Her respect for him grew everyday.
"This is impossible!" Relena choked.
"Well, there is only one way to find out." Dorothy suggested.
Relena stood. She threw her head back and squared her shoulders. With a solid look of determination, she headed for Heero's room.
